How Retailers Can Stock Byaas: Opening a Wholesale Account
By Bhavini Khullar | Founder, Byaas | Adjunct Professor, Montclair State University
Short answer: To stock Byaas, register for a trade account, get approved, choose a first assortment and place your order. Faire orders have a $250 minimum, 6-8 week lead times and ship from New Jersey.
The best boutique owners I know do not stock products. They stock reasons. A reason to come in on a Saturday, a reason to pick something up and feel its weight, a reason to tell a friend. In a year when so many shoppers have promised themselves they will buy less, the shops that thrive are the ones offering the few things worth buying.
Many of the retailers who write to us started as customers. They bought a Byaas piece for their own home, lived with it and wanted to share it. This post is for them, and for anyone who wants to bring handcrafted brass into their store. Opening an account takes four steps.
Step one: register as a trade customer
Start on the wholesale registration page. You will be asked for your business name, contact details, website or store address and the type of business you run. US retailers are usually asked for a resale certificate or sales tax exemption document, which is standard with any wholesale supplier.
Tell us about your customers. A note like "design-led boutique, customers in their 30s to 50s, strong gift trade" helps us recommend the right pieces and finishes.
Step two: approval and access
Our team reviews your registration. Once approved, you can view the wholesale catalog and the wholesale collection. Questions before or after registering? The contact page reaches a person.
Prefer to buy through a marketplace? Byaas is also available on Faire, with a $250 order minimum.
Step three: choose your first assortment
Your first order sets the tone. Think about your customers, your price points and your display space. Our guide to building a brass assortment by price point gives sample starting orders, and our buyer's guide explains what sells in different kinds of shops.
A strong first mix includes taper holders, a pair of vases, a giftable tabletop set and one statement piece. For example, the Serpentine holder, the Quick-Fix polished brass vase and the Fruit of Fortune coasters.
Step four: samples, questions and the first order
If you want to see a finish in person, ask about samples. Polished, brushed, burnished and antique brass look different in photographs than in the hand. When you are ready, place your order through your trade account, and our team confirms quantities, finishes and timing before anything ships. Our order minimums on Faire are $250, with lead times of 6-8 weeks, all products are shipped from our New Jersey warehouse and all prices include duties.

Show the restyle, not just the object
Here is the conversation that sells brass in a buy-less year. Show your customer one pair of holders with three different looks: a deep burgundy taper for a holiday table, ice blue with a silk ribbon for winter, amber for autumn. Those happen to be three of the colors Emily Henderson's team predicts will define 2026 (Emily Henderson), and they all sing against brass. The holder never changes. A customer who can picture using a piece for twenty years is a customer who buys with confidence. Put that styling card next to the display.
Selling online
If you sell online, tell us at registration. Online shops need clean images, accurate dimensions and packaging that survives courier handling. Brass is tactile, so close-ups of the finish, the base and the scale in a room do a lot of work. Our own page for the Thread of Togetherness set of 6 shows what a complete listing includes. Ask us how retail pricing is protected across channels.
