Art Deco Repoussé Brushed Brass Scented Candle

A single scented candle in a brushed brass vessel, 3" × 3", with repoussé patterns inspired by Art Deco buildings in New York and a Santal Royale scent. It is poured in soy wax.

What it is: A small brass vessel with geometric repoussé patterns, holding a scented candle.

Why it matters: The Art Deco lines come from New York architecture, and the vessel is made to be reused after the candle is gone.

How it works: Light the candle as you would any wax candle. When the wax is finished, wipe the vessel clean and use it as a pen holder or a dish for jewelry. Burn time is about 20 hours.

When to use it: As a daily ritual candle at a desk, a bedside table, or a bathroom shelf.

What alternatives exist: The Zen is the same size in a plain brushed vessel. The Diya Multi-Wick Candles are larger and scalloped.

Care: Never leave a burning candle unattended. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each burn. When the wax is finished, wipe the vessel clean and reuse it. To care for the brass vessel: brass changes color over time. That is natural oxidation, and many people value the patina. Dust with a soft cloth. To clean, use a soft cloth dampened with mild dish soap and warm water, wrung out until damp but not dripping, then a second cloth dampened with plain water, then dry fully. Do not use vinegar, lemon juice, baking soda, salt, abrasive cleaners, bathroom sprays, or bleach. To restore a tarnished piece, use a dedicated brass polish such as Brasso sparingly, because over-polishing removes the surface treatment.
