Pichwai Scenery Brass Panel
Description
PRODUCT DESCRIPTION |
Inspired by Pichwai, an Indian folk art, this repoussage panel has been created by hammering a thin brass sheet. Pichwai is a style of painting that originated over 400 years ago, in the town of Nathdwara near Udaipur in Rajasthan, India. Intricate and visually stunning, Pichwai paintings are typically made on cloth and edict tales from Lord Krishna’s life. Like several other traditional Indian art forms, the art of Pichwai is also dying, and requires recognition and revival. This is our humble attempt to bring this folk art to a global stature. |
