Swallow & Botanicals Repoussé Brushed Brass Floor Lamp

A single floor lamp, 13" Dia × 51" H, in brass with a brushed brass finish. Each lamp is handmade, one of a kind, and made to order in limited quantity.

What it is: A floor lamp with a hand-hammered repoussé brass shade, carved with swallows and botanical motifs. Designed in the US and crafted by hand in India.

Why it matters: It is a statement piece, the home equivalent of something you would stop to look at in a museum. Light passes through the repoussé and throws patterns of light and shadow across the room. No two are ever the same.

How it works: Place it on the floor beside a chair, a sofa, or a console, and switch it on. The shade is shaped from brass by hand, so the pattern differs slightly from lamp to lamp.

When to use it: In a living room, a reading corner, or an entryway, for people who value handmade work in their homes. It also makes a thoughtful gift for housewarmings, weddings, and other special occasions.

What alternatives exist: The Circus Tent Table Lamp is a smaller brushed brass lamp with a tent-form shade.

Care: Unplug the lamp before cleaning. Brass changes color over time. That is natural oxidation, and many people value the patina. Dust with a soft dry cloth. If needed, wipe the brass with a cloth dampened with mild dish soap and warm water, wrung out until damp but not dripping, then dry fully. Do not use vinegar, lemon juice, baking soda, salt, abrasive cleaners, bathroom sprays, or bleach.
